My Needle Felted Marshall Lee by CatsFeltLings My Needle Felted Marshall Lee by CatsFeltLings
He is finally done and am working on his axe bass ... but wanted to share him with you... ♥

I think he turned out pretty cute!

As always, 100% wool -- NO sewing, NO gluing.... just one needle, some glorious wool, my hands and a lot of time. He measures approximately 16.5" tall and his appendages are completely flexible but densely felted so he can stand on his own.

***I am not affiliated with Cartoon Network nor Adventure Time -- I'm strictly a huge fan and love to create these purely out of adoration and appreciation of the show.***

Fionna, Flame Princess and Marshall Lee are my favorites of yours. :)

Thank you so much.. I'm glad you like them!

I know I get a lot of "sticker shock" on my Etsy/prices, but it's so hard to explain the craft to people.... needle felting is something you really have to try first hand to understand the stay-power it takes for someone to make things via needle felting... it is definitely a craft that takes a lot of patience and HUGE amounts of time. :)

I think Flame Princess was my favorite to create.. I was in love with her the moment I saw "Incendium" and just HAD to needle felt her. I think she was the one FeltLing I made in just days (I did not want to sleep.. I just wanted to create her... ha!), versus weeks.. I just couldn't put her down. I needle felted on her wherever I went. I'd like to create another (as that one found a home a long time ago) but larger with a matching Finn her size... just so they can sit on my needle felting table watching me work. They are so cute!

When I first saw the price I almost shot my drink out of my mouth on to my laptop. I was so sad I couldn't afford it because these dolls were by far the best Ive seen around of Adventure Time dolls. Seriously, you show up the official ones in my opinion. Actual care is put into these :) I don't know anything about the craft but after I saw the price I figured there was some great time and care put into it and it was well worth the money.

That's so precious! If you ever really do make the two of them you definitely have to put a photo up of the two side by side Cx! My boyfriend and I fell in love with that episode as well. We were such suckers for the cuteness.

oh, but like I said earlier I don't know anything about the craft but it definitely caught my eye. Is there anyway to just describe it or any knowledge to be shared.(really anything haha) I'm actually looking it up on google right now.. hahah just curious

Describe, describe... well, you basically take a big ol' fluff of wool and poke it with a barbed needle until it's compressed and dense. And by fluff of wool, you are literally starting out with something that looks like a cotton ball, ripped and fluffed apart (if that makes sense). You poke, poke, and poke and POKE forever, it feels like... and sculpt as you go ... if you've ever worked with clay/pottery, it's similar but a different medium.. again, if that makes sense... Youtube it! You should find lots of basic needle felting videos.. It's a blast, but not geared for the 'weak at heart/impatient'. :)

Thank you... seriously.

It is one of the most amazing forms of art I have ever played with... you can literally needle felt ANYTHING... and it has been the most rewarding personally. I really, really enjoy it. :)
